Volunteering To Usher
Each usher will be given a free seat to see the performance*
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ushers under 18 must be accompanied by an ushering parent or guardian and are taken on a case by case basis.
- Must be able to stand while performing duties.
- Must be able to understand theatre-seating chart (provided)
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must Possess excellent customer service skills
ATTIRE
- White top and black pants.
- Usher Badge (Provided)
- Mini Flashlight (Provided)
DUTIES
- Before Show
- Show up 1 1/2 hours before the performance time (6:30 p.m. for an 8:00 p.m. show).
- Show patrons to their seats.
- Prevent food and beverages from entering the theater (With the exception of water).
- Assist special-needs patrons to appropriate seating area.
- Guide late-coming patrons or patrons who enter or leave the theatre during the performance with minimal disruption to audience.
- At intermission
- Prevent food and beverages from entering the theater (With the exception of water).
- After the performance
- Pick up the garbage in the theater.
*If a seat is not available for the performance you are working because of a sold out house, you will be given a comp ticket to one of the remaining performances of the current run.
