Smokey Joe's Cafe uses the music of Leiber and Stoller, two of the greatest songwriters of the 1950's, to illuminate a pivotal moment of social change in America. Through songs such as On Broadway, Spanish Harlem, and Stand By Me, Smokey Joe's Cafe explores the beginnings of rock and roll and the American civil rights movement.

'No ordinary 'Joe'...this production's smokin'!'

'Glorious, rousing, knockout, standout...sterling performances'

I attended your opening night performance of "Smokey Joe's Cafe" and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the production. Congratulations on keeping the theatre scene alive and well!
