Fireworks Booth Update
Dear Friends and Supporters:

Due to recent circumstances involving fire danger and poor, local air quality, Runaway Stage Productions has decided to cancel plans to host a fireworks booth this year. We feel that it is the right thing to do. However, this presents us with a predicament. Our annual fireworks sale is a major fundraiser for our company, and we have already incurred losses as a result of it this year.

So, we are asking for your help. If you also have decided not to purchase fireworks this year, for the same reasons we have decided not to sell them, we would please hope that you consider making a donation to Runaway Stage Productions in its place.

For donations of $50 or more, you will be able to receive a special offer for any evening Broadway Stage performance in the remaining 2008 Season! As a supporter of RSP you will receive a voucher for $5.00 off an adult regular admission (up to four tickets, a $20.00 value) to any of our remaining 2008 Broadway shows including Nunsense, Anything Goes, and The Sound of Music.

To make a donation in any amount, please contact the box office at theboxoffice@runawaystage.com and remember, with a $50 or more donation you will receive our special thank you gift coupon.

Thank you all for your time, attention and understanding. And most important, thank you for your continued support.

Nunsense!
Come spend an evening with those unconventional sisters of song and dance:

July 11 – August 3, 2008 Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm

Join the wacky antics of the Little Sisters of Hoboken as they discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally killed the other fifty-two residents of the convent with her tainted vichyssoise while they were off playing bingo with a group of Maryknolls, and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. Upon discovering the disaster, Mother Superior had a vision in which she was told to start a greeting card company to raise funds for the burials. The greeting cards were an enormous success and, thinking there was plenty of money, the Reverend Mother bought a VCR for the convent, leaving her with no money in the kitty to pay for the last four burials. With the deceased nuns on ice in the deep freeze, the sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show, so they take over the school auditorium, which is currently set up for the eighth grade production of “Grease.” We meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; Sister Robert Anne, a streetwise nun from Brooklyn; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.

Nunsense offers a cornucopia of hilarity for the whole family, proving conclusively that nun rhymes with fun!

Great Parking News at Sierra 2 - The 24th Street Theatre!
As you are approaching the 24th Street theatre from Broadway, make a left turn on Castro Street and then a right turn into a newly available parking lot for theatre patrons. You will notice a new sign that lets you know that it is OK to park there for theatre events. This lot is very close to the theatre (a short walk right beside the theatre brings you to the front door, and the Box Office), and right next to the RSP rehearsal space known as "The Studio." So please feel free to park in this lot when you come to see the great shows at RSP! Just another way to make visiting the 24th Street Theatre easier and hassle free!
