Grease is the Word!
2005 Season Continues with The Rock ‘n Roll Musical Sensation!

Since breaking out on Broadway in 1972, Grease's place has been firmly established in the cultural hall of fame. It has seduced the hearts of millions with its back to back sizzling tunes. Grease proved that a love story musical that is bursting with denim, leather, fast cars, slick hairstyles, and raging teen hormones is timeless. Take a blast from the past with Danny Zuko (Tristan Rumery – Tommy Dilas in RSP’s The Music Man), Rizzo(Lauryn Caruso), Knickey – Michael McElroy – Harold Hill in RSP’s The Music Man), Jan (Kari Pruitt), Marty (Lauren Miller), Doody (Bradley Bong - The Cat in the Hat in RSP’s Seussical), Roger (Chris Scarberry), Sonney La Tierri (Alex Powell), Sandy (Stephanie Keeney), and Frenchy in the musical that idolizes the fifties. This musical features all your favorite songs including Summer Lovin', Hand Jive, and Greased Lightning. (Recommended for theatre goers 16 and over).

Orientation for the Next Youth Musical Theatre Workshop (YMTW)
RSP is proud to announce that the next orientation for our YMTW is scheduled for Saturday, August 20th at 10 a.m. Come on down and meet the staff and get answers to all of your questions. This is a free, no-obligation orientation and everyone is welcome!
The next masters YMTW is…

Once Upon A Mattress – If you thought you knew the story of "The Princess and The Pea," you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that Lady Larken's love for Sir Harry provided a rather compelling reason that she reach the bridal altar post haste? Or that, in fact, it wasn't the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are, you'll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.
Free No-Obligation Orientation is: Saturday, August 20th at 10 a.m. at the RSP Studio, 2424 Castro Way, Sacramento, 95818.
Workshop meets every Monday and Wednesdays from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. and some Saturday mornings as needed.
So come on down and see what all the fun is about! Join us for this free orientation!
Directed by: Lillian Baxter, Artistic Director
Vocal Direction by: Ray Fisher, RSP Musical Contractor

Tell us What You Think!
RSP is looking for input from you, our friends and patrons, on what you think of RSP. Applying for grants and funding opportunities is always a difficult project, and RSP is always working on these endeavors, so we are looking to you, our friends and patrons, to help with some information. Funding organizations are always looking to see how a program impacts the people who access the services it provides, so we are asking you to share your thoughts. If you have had an experience that has touched you, or someone you know, please let us know. We are looking for any stories or thoughts you may have had about the work that RSP does. So whether you have seen a show that you thought was well done, or if you have been involved in our YMTWs or if you just would like to send a letter of support please feel free, we would love to hear from you. In addition, if there is something that you feel we could work on, or if there is a concern you have please also feel free to send that along with your thoughts. Please be sure to include your name and contact information along with your letter.
