They will learn skills that will help them work with other actors on stage or in a reading, and the tricks of the trade to make the best first impression and show off their talents as a professional actor. In addition, there will be a section of the class devoted to the resume and how it speaks for the actor before the actor speaks. Charlie Holiday Workshops Update!!!DON’T MISS OUT ON THIS AFFORDABLE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET WITH A PROFESSIONAL – REGISTER NOW! In an effort to continue to educate and improve the artistic process RSP is dedicating April as education and training month. RSP is proud to offer the following details on the very special mini workshops that guest artist Charlie Holiday (SAG, extensive credits both film and television) will offer at the RSP Studios
Charlie Holiday’s "The Mosaic Acting System”
The MOSAIC ACTING SYSTEM (www.mosaicacting.com) ushers in a whole new era in acting and directing, which finds the primary direction of acting going from the old school ego based acting to MAS's empathy based approach, a healthier and more creative style of acting. It is the only acting system in the world that takes advantage of the fantastic advances made in general education through the application of a Learning Styles paradigm. The Whelan Recording Technique is the perfect Whole Brain teaching/learning technique. Character, relationship, emotional base and line memorization are achieved with ease and speed never before experienced. While emotions are the very core of the actor’s art, there has never been a program until EMOTIONOLOGY that provided the tools for actors to study them in an objective and systematic fashion. MAS provides that and more. Charlie has recently returned from the World Congress of Science Producers in Toronto, Canada, where he conducted a Mosaic Acting workshop at the invitation of the world's top Ducu-drama makers. Earlier this fall, he was invited by the California Educational Theater Association to their conference in San Jose, CA, where he presented a Mosaic Acting workshop to an enthusiastic audience of High School and Middle School teachers. Cost: $60 per participant. Dates & Times: April 30th 6 – 9 p.m. to register send your name, address, phone number, and e-mail to registration@runawaystage.com. Class limited to 20 participants. Age: 16 and above are welcome.
Charlie Holiday’s “The Business of Acting”
In this two-plus hour workshop Charlie will explain and demystify all of the myths and misconceptions of the business in “show business.” Headshots, resumes, agents, managers, pitfalls, and sharks in the business. As Charlie put it…”When I was starting out I wasted a ton of time, money, and energy on the wrong pictures, resumes, and on alleged managers, agents, casting directors and scam artists who were going to "make me famous." Join Charlie Holiday for a clear, no nonsense workshop to learn from someone who has been there how not to make the same mistakes as you develop your career in the entertainment business. (Instructor: Charlie Holiday (SAG, Film and television) Cost: $40 per participant. Dates & Times: April 3rd 1 – 3 p.m. To register send your name, address, phone number, and e-mail to registration@runawaystage.com. Age: 16 and above are welcome.

Wacky, irreverent and as entertaining today as it was when it first opened in 1879, “The Pirates Of Penzance” spins an hilarious farce of sentimental pirates, bumbling policemen, dim-witted young lovers, dewy-eyed daughters and an eccentric Major-General, all morally bound to the often-ridiculous dictates of honor and duty.
THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE performs for a limited four-week engagement, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday’s at 2 p.m., May 6th – 29th. Goodwill or Good Use?
Have you been wondering what to do with your mother’s old dresses, hats and gloves? Will your daughter never wear that prom dress again? Well, we have the solution to your closet storage problem.
The ladies of the costume shop are looking for a few good donations. We are in need of “period” clothing for up coming productions.
So you ask – what is “period” clothing. The answer is - a style of clothing that evokes a certain period or decade of time. Specifically, we are looking for clothing of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s – also, ball gowns and prom dresses of any period. We are also looking for men’s suits and formal wear.
If you would like to make a clothing donation, please contact Lillian Baxter at Lbaxter@runawaystage.com and thank you for your support.Goodwill or Good Use?
