SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL

Opening Friday, February 11th
SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL is a family treat, exploring the witty, wild and whimsical world of famed children's storyteller Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss.

Drawing from Geisel's often-read children's classics like "The Cat in the Hat," "Horton Hears A Who," "Green Eggs and Ham," "Yertle the Turtle" and many more, this delightful musical mayhem brings together for the first time many of his best-loved characters.

In a nutshell, the curtain rises on chaos erupting in the Jungle of Nool, and it takes The Cat in the Hat (Bradley Bong), Horton the Elephant (Ray Fisher), Gertrude McFuzz (Robin Hushbeck), Mayzie LaBird (Buffee Ann Gillihan) and a gaggle of other Dr. Seuss characters to bring harmony back into their world.

SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL, Book by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Music by Flaherty. Lyrics by Ahrens. Based on the works of Dr. Seuss

Goodwill or Good Use?

Have you been wondering what to do with your mother’s old dresses, hats and gloves? Will your daughter never wear that prom dress again? Well, we have the solution to your closet storage problem.

The ladies of the costume shop are looking for a few good donations. We are in need of “period” clothing for up coming productions.

So you ask – what is “period” clothing. The answer is - a style of clothing that evokes a certain period or decade of time. Specifically, we are looking for clothing of the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s – also, ball gowns and prom dresses of any period. We are also looking for men’s suits and formal wear.

If you would like to make a clothing donation, please contact Lillian Baxter at Lbaxter@runawaystage.com and thank you for your support.Goodwill or Good Use?

Storybook Children's Theater presents the peanuts gang in Snoopy, The Musical.
Coming to us straight from the funny pages to present brief vignettes from the lives of Charles M. Schulz's famed kids. We have tomboy Peppermint Patty (Julia Soto). The very bossy Lucy (Stephanie Keeney) her hapless brother, Linus (Brad Bong) and the ever sweet Sally Brown (Katie Veale). Also appearing is the beagle's fine feathered friend, Woodstock (Amanda Pomaranski), the show's titular top dog Snoopy (Robin Hushbeck), and underdog owner, Charlie Brown (Bob Baxter).

The whole gang sing and dance their way through this winning and wonderfully witty look at the ups and downs of life. Snoopy! The Musical captures the charming spirit of Schultz's unique humor and positive everyday outlook.

All tickets $5.00. Performances at Noon and 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays, February 19th, 26th and March 5th. Fun for the whole family.

Great Parking News at Sierra 2 - The 24th Street Theatre!
As you are approaching the 24th Street theatre from Broadway, make a left turn on Castro Street and then a right turn into a newly available parking lot for theatre patrons. You will notice a new sign that lets you know that it is OK to park there for theatre events. This lot is very close to the theatre (a short walk right beside the theatre brings you to the front door, and the Box Office), and right next to the RSP rehearsal space known as "The Studio." So please feel free to park in this lot when you come to see the great shows at RSP! Just another way to make visiting the 24th Street Theatre easier and hassle free!
